About Me
I’m a narrative editor drawn to complex, emotionally layered stories. With a background in strategic communication and story development, I approach personal narrative with both structural discipline and a deep respect for voice.
My editorial work includes a memoir-research hybrid examining the history of mental illness treatment through the lens of personal loss, as well as a long-form travel narrative chronicling a first offshore sailing journey reshaped by the pandemic—a story exploring self-discovery at sea.
I’m particularly interested in work that lives at the intersection of personal experience and broader cultural context, stories that require both narrative precision and careful stewardship.
I live in Seattle and am at work on my own long-form writing.
From a writer I work with:
"Working with Grace has been a turning point for my narrative memoir project. After a previous round of submissions, she helped me take complex feedback from in-house editors and translate it into a clear, actionable new storyline. Grace is incredibly thoughtful with her edits and pushes me to develop the areas where I previously held back.
Our regular Zoom sessions keep me on track, and her responsible, accountable approach gives me total confidence in the process. She brings a calm, trustworthy energy to every session that makes the hard work of a rewrite feel manageable. If you’re looking for an editor who is as strategic as she is supportive, Grace is the one."
